Abel Aguilera

His production and remixing team, Rosabel, continues to churn out #1 Billboard dance hits including their Grammy Award Nominated remix of Rihanna’s “Only girl in the world”, ”Wepa” by Gloria Estefan “Papi” by Jennifer Lopez, Madonna’s “Bitch I’m Maddonna with Nicki Menage, and the insanely huge anthem “Chacha Heels” by Rosabel featuring Jeanie Tracy.   The team has also worked with the likes of Donna Summer, Janet Jackson, and who could forget their remix of Cher’s “Different Kind of Love” and so many others. Abel Aguilera is undoubtedly at the top of his game and in an industry overrun by fledgling DJs aspiring to follow in his footsteps, he ranks even beyond the title of “super DJ”.  He is among the select group of  “Uber DJs.”

Born in Brooklyn, New York, and raised in Miami, Florida, Abel Aguilera has always had a passion for House music. He isn’t new on the market, in fact, he had his first pair of turntables and mixer at fifteen years old and within a year, was spinning high school parties, sweet sixteen’s and weddings. Just a couple years after, in the early 80’s into the 90’s, he was spinning career defining Miami and NYC nightclubs including “Club 1235”, “Sound Factory”, “Paragon”, “Salvation”, “Glam Slam” and he also had a 5 year radio mix show on Miami’s Super Q FM 107.

Abel’s profile among the dance community skyrocketed in March of 1992 with the opening of Paragon in South Beach, Miami. South Beach was the epicenter of the U.S. Abel reigned supreme as the club’s resident Saturday night DJ.  Partiers reveled at Abel’s explosive blend of heavy tribal beats, diva anthems, and retooled classics and with his new status, Abel enjoyed a plethora of headlining offers from clubs and events from around the world.

He expertly selected the best opportunities and by the time Salvation closed its doors in 2001, Abel had solidified his position among the elite after-hour DJs. He had branded his name with two of the biggest events – San Francisco’s Aftershock and New York City’s “Alegria” - and with Chicago-based Legendary DJ, Ralphi Rosario, in 1994 had produced the “Grammy Award Nominee”  production and remixing team, Rosabel. “My success boils down to these words,” explains Abel. “The Latin blood that runs through my veins is in my music too and that’s what keeps the bodies grooving. Nothing gets the ass shaking more than pure rhythm” !

You can experience Abel’s rhythms for yourself at events throughout the world and at his regular headlining gigs at Trade Miami, and He has also has a new solo single called, “The Unexpected 4 Track EP - Can you Resist?” and created a new brand called, “Resist” which is a mix crowd driven with sounds of the underground deep house, techno and techhouse style and in a league of it’s own also. Abel is one of the most diverse Dj’s of our time, and if you ever had the pleasure to experience any of it, you know this man has serious history behind his career.

Gauthreaux + Grind

Joe Gauthreaux and DJ GRIND, two of the biggest DJs and producers on the circuit, are joining forces for a special series of events in Summer 2017 that will showcase their big room vocal anthems, uplifting sounds, and chart-topping productions.  Separately, Joe Gauthreaux and DJ GRIND have headlined many of the largest and most high-profile dance festivals in the world, and they've worked with some of the biggest names in dance & pop music, including Ariana Grande, Adele, Kylie Minogue, Cher, Justin Bieber, Ne-Yo and Demi Lovato, among others.  Between them, they have amassed 5 Billboard Top 5 Dance/Club singles, including DJ GRIND's recent #2 hit record with Toy Armada & Brian Justin Crum, "Show Me Love" (Gauthreaux served on remix duties.)  They also produce two of the most popular dance music podcasts, with more than 100,000 downloads per month combined.

In 2016, Joe Gauthreaux and DJ GRIND launched Prop D Recordings, a new record label that champions artists and musicians who bring a positive, uplifting energy to the dance floor.  Their first single together, "Show Me (What You Got)," was a departure for the two, experimenting with techno, tech house and funky beats.  The risk paid off; the track has been supported by some of the biggest circuit DJs all over world and continues to be a staple on many dance floors.

This Summer, Joe Gauthreaux and DJ GRIND are taking their musical vision on the road and into the DJ booth, with a limited run of 5 joint performances at special events across the country – including a stop in Washington DC at DistrktC for PRIDE March Weekend in June, and Pines Party Weekend on Fire Island in July.  (More dates will be announced soon.)  Be there as these two artists blend their unique sounds into one musical journey that can only be described as "Gauthreaux & Grind."

Brian Norwood

DJ Brian Norwood has the remarkable talent of being able to watch and sense crowds. He uses this gift to push club goers and revelers to the point of euphoria through music. No one can change the dynamic of a room like Brian.

Since the early 1990s when he moved to Philadelphia, Brian has used his genius for mixing music to take club-goers on journeys; these ventures into the mellifluous and deep unknown have made him a nationally recognized DJ who has spun at some of the nation’s most famous venues from coast to coast. Brian’s progressive and eclectic style is boundless. He has the unique ability to combine trance, house, and noncommercial tracks in a way that transforms the dance floor into a transcendent space, where a playful combination of wonder and energy meet.

In 2010, a move to Chicago was reinvigorating and Brian started a podcast, Sophisticated Morning, shortly thereafter. It was energizing to see his listenership grow exponentially and it put him on the radar of promoters all over America. The notable gigs he has played are too many to count, but include, Flagging In The Park (San Francisco), Club Cielo (New York City), Pavilion (Fire Island Pines), Masked Leather Ball (Ft. Lauderdale), Epic Maui Journey (Maui), Evolution of a Dancer (New York City) Sleazeball NYC (New York City) and Sanctuary (Atlanta).

Norwood’s most enduring influence comes from the legendary Buc, whose magic shaped dance parties throughout the world. Norwood’s close friendship with Buc inspired an understanding of how soulful music could be mixed with masculine sounds to create a sophisticated form of music that does not adhere to a typical pop format. Brian is known for mixing music that reaches deep into the listeners’ emotions, whether they be happy and uplifting or deep, dark and edgy. Brian does not shy away from mixing a range of seemingly dissimilar sounds into a night’s journey. His willingness to experiment continues to enchant music lovers in their search for sophisticated sounds that will cultivate a unique experience.

Jeff Hall

I am thrilled to be asked back for my 6th year as the opening DJ for the Pines Party.  For me, the Pines Party, and the Friday night VIP Party in particular, have always felt like a community block party.  There's a sense of shared experience here in the Pines that knits the community together in ways that not many other communities can relate to. And that makes this event and all of the people who make it possible something very special.  I'll be opening this year's VIP Party with a deep and welcoming soulful vibe and then handing over the decks to DJ Aaron Aanenson who has already proven himself to be a crowd favorite here in the Pines and elsewhere.  See you on the dancefloor!

Check back soon for special performances that will be taking place at this year's Pines Party.
